New Account Creation

To create an account you must be a sysop. For a list of sysops take a look at the User list

To create a new user, go to the Special:Userlogin page and fill in the details. The actual password entered is irrelevant as it will be replaced by a random value anyway. To submit, click "By e-mail" NOT "Create New Account". If you do click, "Create New Account" use the "Mail me a new password" button to send the user their new password.

If you create an account by request on the mailing list please mail the list back to say you have done it. Likewise on IRC. This is to avoid two sysops creating two accounts for one person!

If you are a sysop and you have the bureaucrat flag, you can create other sysops with the Special:Makesysop page. Usernames on this page are Case Sensitive! Make sure you have a leading capital letter. Current Bureaucrats are shown on the User list
